The day before the wedding I went to Spurwing because I hadn’t been there before. I wanted to get my shots lined up in my head and see where the sun would be etc. Outside the patio there was this AH-mazing orange tree. Perfect for the first look.
Morning of the wedding there is hail, rain and some serious wind! Arrive at the venue doing all the getting ready shots. Tell the gorgeous bride I’m going to get her groom set for the First Look then come back to get her… go outside and every. YES EVERY. Single. Leaf has fallen from the tree. Inside I cried and threw a temper tantrum. Outside I said cool there’s this very dramatic clouds and lighting on the lawn lets do it there. It was perfect! The universe has a great sense of humor!
My fav part of weddings is seeing how people make it their own. The toasts. The dancing. The SUNSET photos. So many pieces that are so them. I laughed so hard because Rachel + Gregory played the shoe game and the DJ asked who was their favorite person in the whole world, and Rachel said, “Well what about my parents?” Ahhh I hope my kids say that!
